Notes

2004 saw the biggest change in the NCL since the early 1980s, when the NA was expanded. The feeder structure was changed to 2 leagues (NCL and WNCL) based on a East/West split, and 21 teams (previously in the Norf Conf) joined this new scheme.
The starting arrangements went thru' number of changes after close of 2003 season, with several teams withdrawing. However, additional teams joining from Conference Junior League and new applicants swelled the total number to 103 teams in 10 divisions at start of the season
