The Knights Norfolk Cricket League does not have a formal process
for the registration of players. Players from clubs outside the
NCL may play for an NCL club in the league competition without penalty.
However, no player may represent more than one Club within the
NCL without a transfer process. The transfer procedure is quite
straightforward (Gen Rule 19):
| 19 |
a |
Once a player has represented a
Club (Old) in the NCL, he may not play for a different Club(New)
in the same season before an authorised transfer has been completed
and confirmed by the General Secretary as in 19c below |
| |
b |
The New club is responsible for
producing a transfer form, which must include the name of the
player, and be countersigned and dated by representatives of
the two Clubs concerned. |
| |
c |
The New club is responsible for
ensuring that the transfer has been completed (as above) and
for sending the transfer form to the General Secretary, who
will confirm the transfer |
| |
d |
No transfers will be granted
after 30 June each year |
The basic requirements are:
- agreement of 'departing' club
- agreement of 'acquiring' club
- notification to General Secretary
- transfer is agreed before 30 June
The most sensible way to complete this is via a letter written
by the 'acquiring' club, forwarded on to the 'departing' club and
then to the League's Secretary.
An example of such a letter, which may be downloaded
and printed on to your Club's letterhead, is included here.
