Player Transfers

No player may represent more than one Club within the NCL in the same season without completing a transfer process. There seems to be some confusion about when to apply this rule, although it is absolutely clear:

"Once a player has represented a Club (Old) in the NCL, he may not play for a different Club (New) in the same season before an authorised transfer has been completed and confirmed by the General Secretary."

  • The wording of the rule (mentioning 'Club' rather than 'team' was deliberate.
  • So, if you play for one club that is represented in the NCL, whether or not you played in a TEAM that is in the NCL, you must complete the transfer process BEFORE you can play for another club that is represented in the NCL.
  • Note that this specifically includes people who play for a team in the Norfolk Alliance if that Club also has a team within the NCL.

The transfer process (detailed at General Rule 22, page 24 of the Handbook, is straightforward.
You can find more details and a downloadable transfer document here
