Season 1974
Notes
The first - recorded - official league with matches taking place on Saturdays and Sundays. Brooke clinched the title by a narrow margin and still hold the dubious record of the lowest points score to win a Championship.
There are some familiar names – until this season (2011) Loddon and Watton had the distinction of playing in the NCL in every season. Sadly, in 2010 Loddon merged and is now part of Hales & Loddon, whilst Watton withdrew part way through the 2011 season.
Of the other names here: Beccles re-appeared for a single season; Aldborough moved to the Alliance and were the first team relegated back to the NCL in 1994. They gained promotion back to the Alliance in 2008. Overstrand played only 2 seasons before leaving - to return 20 years later. Earlham Lodge are now merged with Cringleford, Coltishall with Hellesdon, Gothic with CEYMS whilst Nor Etceteras are now part of Old Catton.
