Rising Castled by Acre while Overstrand march on at Level Two

 Summer has well and truly arrived and the NCL once again enjoyed a full fixture list. In Division 1

 
Snettisham’s Matt Herbert made 70no and Kieren Herbert took 5-25 as they overcame Gt Yarmouth to
 
further consolidate top spot. Markus Leake led the way with 4-13 as Felthorpe skittled out Cringleford
 
Lodge for a paltry 29 to set up a very comfortable victory. Denver’s Dan Cornwall with 58 and Chris Rolfe
 
with 57no helped them overcome Blundestone (Harry Bamber 56). Ollie Browne, 72, Ross Bilham 64 and
 
Alex Browne 55 gave Saxlingham a good total against Caister who went down fighting thanks mainly to
 
65no for Phil Browne, and Ross Gilbert with 52 and Chris Smith 4-27 meant Sandringham beat Kirkley
 
and Belton.
 
In 2West Castle Rising lost to Castle Acre and Garboldisham B beat Heacham. Rob Free made 56 and Kev
 
Seymore 61 for East Harling in their defeat of North Elmham for who Ed Maule made 50. In 2 East Tim
 
Woods made 68 as Rohan Kumar made 157 for Drayton, although losing, Eaton came close with Michael
 
Barker making 131 and Sam Butcher 60. Overstrand strengthened their position at the top with Tim
 
Porter making 59no as they beat Rollesby. Meanwhile Dave Lambert was taking 5-36 in St Andrews
 
victory.
 
Beetley, Holt and Dersingham A all won in 3West, Eusabio Huckle took 4-14 for Saham Toney A as they
 
went down to Bircham A and Peter Crisp and Matt Steeles made 84no and 61 respectively in
 
Narboroughs win over Beeston. Andy Norman made 86 for Wensum in 3Central, but 9 man Felthorpe A
 
chased down their total comfortably with Pradeep Gupta making 74no and Julian Dismore following up
 
last weeks 100 with his 11 th Norfolk League century making 115no. Reuben Dalton 55no helped New
 
Buckenham beat Hardingham A and 4-19 for Al Watts of Hethersett and Tas Valley B helped them beat
 
Old Buckenham B. The top 2, Gt Ellingham and Reepham and Salle A both won. Aaron Saunders 60
 
helped Halvergate to another victory in 3East, and Avanash Pandey’s 61 helped Aylsham beat Southold.
 
Kirkley and Belton B, Old Catton A and Winterton A also had victories.
 
Aldborough had another morale boosting victory in 4North East and Horsford C continue to lead the
 
division after another good win. Colney (Rob White 4-37)had a good win at home to Happisburgh A
 
(Adam Carter 55) and Norwich Malayalees put Overstrand A to the sword scoring a massive 451, their
 
opening bat helping himself to 250. In 4 South East there were victories for Great Yarmouth, Hales and
 
Loddon B, Martham A, Ketteringham Hall A and Lowestoft B. In 4 North West Taz Verma made 68no for
 
Castle Rising A, but Alex Reardon with 59no helped Swaffham A to victory. Thornham’s Stephen Lucas
 
made 100no, Dickie Sayers 85 and Will Symington took 7-17 as they dominated Mundford A. Hingham
 
continue to do well in 4South West, Diss B (Stuart Thompson 60) overcame Dereham B (Mark Fuller 6-
 
51, Leigh Thompson 56), Gt Melton C beat Hardingham B and Mellis had another decent win on the road
 
with Neil Spence making 155.
